Access Statement

This statement is provided for the information of any visitor or guest who may have difficulty using stairs or uneven floors.

The Inn does not have level access to all areas

The Feathered Nest Country Inn is a 350 year old converted malt house and, like many old Cotswold stone buildings, floor levels vary throughout the building.

On both the ground and upper floors of the Inn, the floors can be uneven and moving through the building does require the use of several short staircases.

There is level access to some areas of the restaurant

There is level access from the gravel car park to some areas of the restaurant, including the Garden Room.  If any member of your party requires a table with level access from the car park, please mention this when making your table booking.

There is level or near-level access to the dining terrace and some areas of the garden

There is level access from the gravel car park to our dining terrace.  The lawn area of the garden slopes away gently from the car park and more steeply from the dining terrace.

None of our guest rooms offer level access

Guest staying at the Inn should be aware that all of our guest rooms are on the first and second floor of the building (meaning they are above ground floor level).  Access to these rooms is by way of one or more staircases with handrails.

Unfortunately, the building does not have a lift, stair lift or escalator to aid access to any area of the building.

We’re here to help
